Alaska According to Marie

So I spent a good part of my morning trying to make a little sense of all my different picture folders on my desktop and scattered throughout my computer. I think I was fairly successful in cutting out redundant pictures and consolidating my files. These are a few that I ran across while cleaning up.

Last night on my way home from work I was just turning into my driveway and noticed our resident eagle perched up in the tree. I've tried numerous times to capture this eagle on film but I've learned that I have to be sneaky with him. He is a little camera shy, as long as he doesn't see the camera he will stay put. So I parked the car a little way down the road, checked my film and then hid it down at my side as I walked toward him. I ignored his stares as I passed by the bottom of the tree and glanced up once as I was almost passed and started laughing when I saw how contorted he was trying to see what I was carrying.
I got to the perfect picture place and after a deep breath I quickly turned and was able to get two shots before he flew away. We will see how well the effort was when I get those pictures back.

It's supposed to be nice this weekend so maybe I'll get a few parting fall shots this weekend.
