The mountains are calling and I must go. ~John Muir

Matthew and I went for a hike up into Archangel on Sunday. It was a very nice day and warm when the sun was out. When the clouds covered the sun it cooled off very fast. And then it even sleeted on us. It was a beautiful day up in Hatcher's though. I bet Matthew that he couldn't get up to a mine shaft that we saw up the hill in less than 5 minutes. He looked at me incredulously. I was certain that he didn't have a good idea of perspective and how far away things really were. So he took the bet (dinner) and I held Chisholm and his watch and his gun while he took off up the hills.

I was so impressed. At two minutes he had already made it practically there and when I yelled that it had been only two minutes, he stopped a few feet from the entrance to take a breath before strolling to the mine shaft. So ya, I owe Matthew dinner.
