I can't believe it's been a month already since I posted last! wow.

North Carolina was great. I really enjoyed myself, had a great host, and saw so many beautiful things. I loved the warm dark nights, the fireflies, lightening, history, the ocean, the rivers... ya. It was wonderful.

I also made it back in time to see everyone race motocross at state in Fairbanks. We had one really wet muddy day and one really hot dry day. I even got a bit of a sunburn on my nose. No sunburns while in the hot sunny weather down in NC for two weeks and one day in the sun in Fairbanks and I've got sunburn. ha.

But I'm home now, back in my normal routine and considering future plans. I went jogging around the lake last night before going to bed. Chevy and I usually do that in the evenings together. Except for the occasional kamikaze mosquito, it has become a really pleasing part of my day. Mom called me this morning on my way to work and told me that at 4am, she and my dad were woken up by Chevy barking. When Dad went to investigate he discovered a brown bear walking the shoreline down below the house! Ya... I think bringing Chevy along with me when I run is a practice that I will continue. ha.
