Halibut Cove
We were out beachcombing in the evening and it turned out to be wild america with Matthew's almost super human catch and release abilities. He caught a couple of eels, a little Irish Lord (and subsequently saved a little crab that was inside the fish's mouth at the time), a crab, butter clams... and I think he was really trying to figure out a way to entice the seal that was watching us while we were out there.
It was so much fun. Thanks alot Kellers!!

I'm glad you have friends like the Kellers. It was funny in church on Sunday when that balloon came out of nowhere, floated across the room and zoomed down into Zach's lap! ha Mom and I watched it go over to him - so fast too.
Love the raspberries - they are VERY BIG!
Beautiful pictures! Still a bit jealous that the starfish made an appearance for you and not for me...
Marie,
I would say I stumbled across your blog, but after searching through dozens of blogs I don't suppose that would be quite true.
Briefly - I live, with my husband and the two kids which are still home, in Montana. However, the day to move is coming and we are looking at Alaska. However, we are BIG outdoors types so I'm looking for Alaska blogs written by people who enjoy much of the same things.
Not only is your blog the closest I've come, but your post by CS Lewis on your home page, your location in Big Lake, and the fun 'notes' and 'photos' on our posts made your blog very interesting. I'd love to converse with you more.
You can chck me out a bit on my blog, if you'd like. It is a part of our webpage. Here's the address:

Thanks for sharing bits of your life with a stranger :-)

Hi
I'm an author of language teaching materials for learners of English and I am doing some research for a book. I wondered if you could help me. I attach a webpage with some information about me.
I am doing some research on life in cold countries and had some questions. If you would be willing to help me could you send me an email to lclandfield@yahoo.ca with the subject title Alaskan Blogger?
Thanks very much, I tried to find an email address for you on your blog but couldn't. So I left this comment, which you can delete if you like.
