Christmas Party '06
It was cold that night, not more than 10 degrees but there was a huge bonfire that kept everyone warm. We had the food and drinks over at a table about 20 feet from the fire and everything that could freeze eventually did, so those who waited too long to fill up a plate, ended up having to chisel it out.
I think the boys are planning on opening up the track again for New Year's Eve.
I got all my packages off for Christmas. The Wasilla post office ... holy.
I drove by it and kept on driving baby. I decided it would take just as much time, maybe even less, to drive to Big Lake and mail everything from there. There was no line at all in Big Lake. I love that post office.
Lots of snow came down yesterday and hopefully it will stick around awhile. The northern lights were out last Thursday. They were pretty enthusiastic but the cold and the late hour finally persuaded me to go back inside. But not before I took a few pictures. I put one of the shots on the slide show.

Holidays
On Friday a bluegrass band that I am a member of all went to the prison out in Palmer. We sang for about two hours and then signed cd's. It's probably the most famous I've ever felt. We also had the worship service at church this past Sunday. I had a solo and sang "Why Me Lord". I remember my dad and my uncle, Don, singing this song when I was little. It was a good song to do a solo with because it is so familiar. Our bluegrass team is called 10 Mile Junction and we have one cd. We are talking about making another one soon. It's a pretty fun group to be a part of. They all have great senses of humor.

Klint built a track on the ice for a Christmas party we are going to be having later this month. I'm excited to see who turns out for that race and I'm looking forward to those pictures as well. Here are a couple pics from last years races...

Dad and the boys went out and cut down trees last night and we decorated our and Klint and Calli decorated theirs last night. I'll post pictures of the finished product later.
