Warmer Days

In cold days, like the ones we've been having the past couple of weeks, everyone starts talking about spring and summer. It's beautiful outside when it is so frigid, but it's just hard to be outside enjoying it when sometimes it even hurts your nose to breathe. So, I haven't been outside taking many pictures lately. I have stopped to snap a couple shots of several moose that have decided to wait out this icy weather around the lake. One needs to exercise care when driving to/from the house because those moose seem to bed down right next to the driveway, and often lollygag right on it. One of these days, I'll include some of those moose pictures after I develop some more film. Right now I will include some pictures that reflect my thoughts of warmer days.

Bunko

February Bunko was at my house and the theme for the evening was "Grease". It was fun to see the girls look like they just came to my house after the sock hop. One girl even wore a real poodle skirt!

Around the Lake in Black & White

I went to drop some film off after work yesterday and they told me that I had an old roll of B&W there that had come in from the outlab and I had never picked it up. I didn't remember dropping it off so it was kinda like opening a present when I looked at the pictures. I was very pleased. Half the roll was close-ups of different family members, which I'm not posting yet cause I want to give them as gifts to them and I don't want them to see the pictures before I give it to them. The other half was pictures I had taken on a walk around the lake. I think it was in October sometime. The creek flowing into the lake had not yet frozen over and there is only a little snow on the airstrip. I can't remember with absolute certainty, but I am pretty sure that this was the 1600 speed b&w film that I used in my Canon rebel. I really like the contrast that this speed of film provides. I think I might pick up another roll of it when I pick up the pictures I dropped off yesterday. Here are a few of the pictures for you. I hope you enjoy them!

Finally...

I've procrastinated in dropping off film the last month, but I finally went and got some done today. Here are a few pictures from the past couple of weeks. The big news is that I have a new niece. Raegan Mae. She is beautiful.
